Real Anatomy of Technology
For this project, I made a modern-day computer inside of a human brain. I made a computer because nowadays to me they are almost essential for us to live just like the brain. Computers are now in cars, phones, and almost everything else we use. I think in the future computers will be even more common than they are now making them even more important. My friends and I communicate and stay in touch by using phones. phones are an easy way to communicate and share information. When my mom was a kid, they used radio and newspapers to learn about events and weather. Nowadays we can just take a few seconds an look it up. Computers are also important because they can help further our education with a big online database at the touch of our finger tips.
Because I grew up with technology my whole life, to me technology is something that is new and improved that can further our knowledge and skills. For my mom that grew up with out technology, technology is something that makes life easier. If all technology went away we all would struggle getting work done and communicating. I would have to talk to my friends in person. It would also become difficult to communicate with my family. I would have to entertain myself and learn in a different way. I think some people use technology too much. Some people hide behind a screen and become lazy. Some people don't get jobs or take care of themselves because they become distracted by technology. People also get distracted by technology while driving and get in car crashes. Some people don't verbally communicate verbally with their people because they think its easier from a screen. |
The Value of Words
For this project, I made an art piece that is made out of words. I made a pantry with different foods. The cans are made out of the names of different canned foods. I did a pantry because I like food. I made this project because it tells the viewers what I’m trying to portray in my art.
I feel words form connections with others by helping people communicate. I think words can connect the viewer to the artist by phrases or words they both like. I feel most art pieces do not need a description because it’s how you interpret the piece that matters the most. I feel in this piece though the words are the description of the piece. I feel the words can give major importance to the piece but I feel spoken and in-person conversation give a better tone. |
Automatic Drawing
For this project, I made an Automatic drawing. An Automic Drawing is a drawing that has no plan and is all from your feelings. I feel many artists do this type of art because it is more personal and can express their feelings better. When I was asked to do this project it was kind of intimidating because I didn’t realize how simple it was compared to other projects. When I was making the project, I had emotions that were relaxed and simple.
For my project, I made 2 mountains that had erupted along with a forest fire. At the bottom of the piece, there are smoldering trees that were on fire and at the top, you can see the colorful sky covered by the rising smoke. Personally, I do not like this type of artwork because I like having a plan to follow. If I had to give this piece a title I would call it “Burning Mountains”. |
Still Life Panting
For this project, I made a painting with 3 important objects that represent me. This project is supposed to represent me and the necessities of my life. The background consists of an orange dusk sky with clouds at the top. At the bottom, there is a small piece of green grass that contains my objects. My three objects are a car wheel, a turbo, and a piston. I used these 3 objects because I like cars and they are an important part of my life.
Almost everyone uses cars and depends on them for their job and life. Cars have become a necessity in humanity. If I didn't have a car, my parents would have to drive me to work and I would have to ride the bus to school. Most people depend on cars in a way that makes them essential. |
